[tex]\frac{13}{18} + \frac{19}{24}=  \frac{109}{72}[/tex] or 1.51889

In order to find the answer placed above you have to find the common factor of 18 and 24 and to find it you'll have to multiply them together to 432 as the over denominator and you multiply 24 by 13 to get 312 and 18 by 19 to get 342 and then you add [tex]\frac{312}{432}+ \frac{342}{432} to get\frac{654}{432}[/tex]. Lastly, you want to simplify \frac{654}{432} to \frac{109}{72} by \frac{6}{6}.
