All you need is angles that are the same in each shape.

For example, all squares are similar. They all have 4 ninety degree angles.

All polygons with equal angles are similar. All regular hexagons have interior angles of 120 degrees.  So all regular hexagons are similar.

All regular octagons are similar. All regular octagons (8 sides) have interior angles of 135 degrees.

To get more, just look up the names of all regular polygons from 3 to 10. I've given you three of them.
