This is an independent clause, meaning it can exist on its own, it doesn't need a supplement because it is already complete.

A sentence has a subject and a predicate. The subject here is she. The predicate is broke. Since both are present, you have a complete, independent sentence as opposed to a fragment, or an incomplete sentence.
